Summer has arrived and this summer we invite you to not only jump into picnics, swimming pools, and camping trips, but also and especially to Dive into the Bible. Suggestions and efforts starting now will be part of a long-term emphasis and plan to encourage all of us to be more personally involved with the Bible: reading, being read to, discussing, learning. For example, each Sunday's bulletin will give you the readings for the following week so you may read and think ahead.

You are encouraged to bring your Bible or use one of the church's Bibles to follow along when scripture is read. We sincerely want Scripture readers from the congregation. Please sign up (small clipboard on the back table). You are also invited to write 1-2 paragraph response / comment / personal story relating to scripture that will go on the church website for a week and be called "My Take."

Daily Bible Reading References from the Lectionary (the 3-year list of appointed readings) will be on the website with each Sunday's schedule. We already have several opportunities for group Bible Study, including our Adult Sunday School and Kids' Club (10 a.m. every Sunday before worship) and the study of the Book of Exodus, which meets twice a month, usually the first and third Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St. Mark's.
