Our Christmas Eve Service began at 8:00 pm on Dec. 24th. The candlelight service included
Holy Communion, Christmas Carols, a Christmas Message and the Passing of the Christ Light. Young people
brought up figures to complete the Manger Scene as part of the service. Members of the congregation became part of the Christmas Message as
everyone has a role to play in the coming of the Christ Child into our hearts.
The Sanctuary decorations were the traditional for this Blessed Season. All baptized Christian who take Communion anywhere are welcomed to take Communion. Our Pastor is willing to talk with anyone about Baptism. Worshippers come to be part of the true story. Worhippers experience the joy that can not be bought or lost, the knowledge of the baby of Bethlehem, God's only Son, Jesus. The Holy Land of Israel / Palestine is a real place. Violence is taking many lives. Christmas there will again be a difficult & dangerous time in Christ's birth place. Please pray for peace with justice for Bethlehem, Jerusalem and all the Holy Land and its people. The Holy Land is home not only to Jewish & Muslim people, but also to Christian. Small olive wood crosses made in Jerusalem by Palestinian Christians are available at Church at no cost. Ask at any service or activity you come to or call the Church at (301) 241-3287 for a Cross. |
